Annual Hwa Chong – Nanyang Sports Meet

Yesterday saw the start and the end of the annual Hwa Chong - Nanyang Track and Field Meet. Another enjoyable day for me again. Everyone was all smiles yesterday as the track and field meet meant another day of fun for us. A relatively warm day though, following a few days of scorching hot weather with little rain. Many new events were implemented in this year's meet, my favourite being the 12x200m relay race. This race saw many overtakes and it was very exciting. The most interesting of this event was the JC1 girls race. Faculty Apollo had a runner which fell down and wasted much time in standing up and continuing. In the end, Apollo still won and I admire the peserverance of that particular girl which fell as she stood up very quickly to pass the baton on to her fellow teammates.
